Already in Love
So my recently purchased 35mm Voigtlander Nokton f/1.2 ASPH is performing beyond my wildest expectations. I’ve played with the older version (a stroke of genius) and previously owned a f/1.4 version of the Nokton. Compared to the f/1.4 version? This bad boy is a beast. Both physically (more than twice the size!) and optically. Gone is the annoying focus shift, and while it is soft at f/1.2 - it’s a good soft, film-esque if you will - it sharpens up to be better than the slower version at f/1.4.
So much love already and I don’t even have my IR-cut filter yet! Just been shooting B&W JPEGs and love it. Fuck, it might be replacing my 24mm Summilux soon :S Crazy thought.
Anyways, I’ll probably write a “review” soon. Or maybe I’ll just post lots of pictures :D

This lens holds bokehs very similarly to a Summilux, it has that creamy soft smudged look. Which is not for everyone I understand, but I really like it. If you shoot rangefinders and enjoy the 35mm view, this lens is a MUST.
